Terms of use and License Agreement
Effective
These terms are the License Agreement between you and Harsh Navani, trading as SoneaLabs (“SoneaLabs”, “we”) for DejaShot. Dodo Payments sells DejaShot to you as our reseller and merchant of record, under its own buyer terms, and handles payment, tax, invoicing and refunds. By buying, installing or activating DejaShot, you agree to these terms.
In short
- One person may use DejaShot on one Mac at a time, for personal or work use, and move it to another Mac whenever they like.
- Every future update is included.
- You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying.
- Nothing here takes away the rights consumer law gives you.
Who may use DejaShot
You must be eighteen or older to buy or use DejaShot. A business may buy licenses for the people who work for it, one license for each person’s Mac.
Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use DejaShot on one Mac at a time, for personal or work use, for as long as you like. To use it on another Mac, activate it there and choose Move License when DejaShot asks, or deactivate it on the first Mac first.
Every future update is included at no extra cost. Licenses from free or discounted launch editions are the same license, under these same terms.
Updates arrive through DejaShot’s built-in updater, which you can turn off in Settings. We don’t promise any particular update or feature, or how long updates will keep coming, but nothing here limits the updates consumer law gives you.
Activation and license checks
To activate, DejaShot sends your license key, a pseudonymous ID for your Mac, your Mac’s name and DejaShot’s version to our license server, and about every two weeks while you’re online it checks the license again. The privacy policy explains exactly what’s sent and why.
DejaShot keeps working offline. A license that’s refunded, charged back or found to be shared stops working the next time DejaShot checks it.
What you may not do
- Share, sell, rent or sublicense your license key.
- Remove, disable or get around the license check.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify DejaShot, except where the law lets you do so anyway, for example to make a backup or to make it work with other software.
Who owns what
DejaShot is licensed to you, not sold. We own DejaShot and its name. The third-party software DejaShot includes comes under its own licenses, listed in Acknowledgements in DejaShot’s Help menu.
Your files
Your screenshots and everything DejaShot reads in them stay on your Mac and belong to you. DejaShot reads them and, only when you ask, renames them, moves them or moves them to the Trash. It never deletes files. Keep backups of anything you can’t lose, as you would with any app.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying, whether or not you’ve downloaded or activated DejaShot. Dodo Payments issues it. The refund policy has the details.
When the license ends
You can stop using DejaShot at any time. Your license ends if you’re refunded or charge the payment back, or if you seriously break these terms. When it ends, you must stop using DejaShot.
No warranty
As far as the law allows, DejaShot is provided as is, without any warranty that it will meet your needs or work without errors.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or business, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for DejaShot.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Your rights as a consumer
If you’re a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights the law where you live gives you, including the rights in the EU and the UK to digital content that works as described and to the updates needed to keep it working.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
Changes to these terms
The date at the top shows when these terms took effect. If we change them, the new version applies to purchases made after the change. The terms you agreed to keep applying to your license unless you agree to new ones.
The rest
These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about DejaShot. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term doesn’t waive it. We may transfer these terms to whoever takes over DejaShot. The English version of these terms is the one that applies.
