DejaShot reads your screenshots on your Mac and keeps what it learns there. SoneaLabs never receives your screenshots, their text, your searches or where your screenshots came from.
What the app sends, and when
- When you activate: your license key, an anonymous ID for your Mac and your Mac’s name. The name is shown only to you, on your other Mac, if you move the license.
- About every two weeks while you’re online: your license key, the license’s activation ID and the anonymous Mac ID, to confirm the license is still valid.
- When you deactivate: your license key and the activation ID.
- When it checks for updates: the app’s version and your macOS version. Nothing else about your Mac is sent.
The anonymous Mac ID
It’s a one-way hash of your Mac’s hardware ID. It can’t be turned back into the hardware ID, and DejaShot never reads your serial number.
Where license requests go
Activations and check-ins go to license.dejashot.com, run by SoneaLabs on Cloudflare, which checks your key with Dodo Payments. Requests are logged without your key.
What this website collects
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
When you buy, Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, collects your email, billing details and payment under its own privacy policy. SoneaLabs receives your email and your purchase record, so we can send your key and help you.
What we never do
We don’t sell or share your data, show ads, or use your data to train anything.
Deleting your data
Everything DejaShot knows lives on your Mac, in ~/Library/Application Support/DejaShot. The uninstall page explains how to remove it.
